Montana Lawmakers Create Sportsmen’s Caucus in Legislature
State legislators formally created the Montana Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus today, becoming the 32nd in a national network of state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses focused on promoting a pro-sportsmen’s agenda in the halls of state government. The Caucus will serve as an identified group of allies willing to stand up for the rights of sportsmen when pertinent legislation is introduced.

Georgia Capitol Turns 'Wild' at 5th Annual Sportsman's Day
The Georgia State Capitol got a little wild during the first week of Georgia’s 2007 legislative session, when the Georgia Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus, along with nearly every sportsmen’s organization in the state, recognized Governor Sonny Perdue for his support of sportsmen’s issues with an appreciation award during the 5th Annual Sportsmen’s Day at the Capitol.

South Carolina Rep. Mike Pitts Awarded Rowse Leadership Award
Representative Mike Pitts, co-chair of the South Carolina Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus, was honored as the second recipient of the Brad Rowse Leadership Award for his efforts to fight for sportsmen in the Palmetto State. He fought uphill political battles to establish a sportsmen’s caucus in a state where legislation is required.

BASS Times Recognizes NASC and CSF as Power Brokers
The January issue of BASS Times features an article on the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation and National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses titled “Meet the Power Brokers,” which states that “building bridges between legislators and anglers will ultimately determine the future of this sport.” The article goes on to discuss how anglers can influence legislation through the federal and state sportsmen’s caucuses.
