Sportsmen’s Caucus Created by Utah Lawmakers in State Legislature
Following a motion by Senate President John Valentine (R-Orem), the Legislature officially formed the Utah Sportsmen’s Caucus, joining a national network of state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses focused on promoting a pro-sportsmen’s agenda in the halls of state government. The Caucus will serve as an identified group of allies willing to stand up for the rights of sportsmen when pertinent legislation is introduced.

South Carolina Sportsmen’s Caucus Shoots, Hunts and Celebrates Together
Members of the South Carolina Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus escaped the State House today to take part in a pheasant hunt and sporting clays shoot. Approximately 30 members of the State Legislature took time out to enjoy the day in the field and on the range at the Dry Branch Hunt Club with sportsmen from around the state.

Vermont Caucus Members Propose Apprentice Hunting License
Vermont Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus members from all three parties in the House have introduced H298, a bill to create an apprentice hunting license that would allow a veteran hunter to take a new hunter to the field under direct supervision before the apprentice completes hunter education.

Kentucky Sportsmen Rally at Capitol in Support of Caucus Leader’s Bill
More than 300 sportsmen wearing blaze orange joined Governor Ernie Fletcher, former Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus Member, last week at the State Capitol to rally in support of legislation that creates state tax credits for conservation easements and allows public access to private property for fishing, hunting, and wildlife recreation.

Wildlife Violators Compact Passes Senate in Mississippi
The Mississippi Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus has introduced legislation to join 24 other states as part of an effort to crack down on individuals who violate wildlife laws.
